CAMP THRIVE 2020
RCC is excited to announce that the advocacy and prevention programs will be hosting Camp Thrive this January!
Camp Thrive’s goal is to help girls grow, flourish, and THRIVE by providing empowerment and education on topics such as self-esteem, healthy relationships, empowerment, coping skills, health and wellness, and cyber safety/responsibility.
This year, the camp will only be open to current middle and high school girls. The activities offered will focus on teaching them how to take care of themselves, physically, mentally and emotionally, make them more aware of their boundaries, and discuss what healthy relationships look like. In addition, we aim to help them build and maintain positive self-esteem so they feel confident enough to speak up for themselves while also being an advocate for others. Topics will be addressed through presentations, arts and crafts and interactive workshops.
Camp will be held on January 3rd -4th. Hours for camp will be 8a-5p on Jan 3rd and 9a-2p on Jan 4th. There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided. Location of camp will be forthcoming.
