“Jeans For Justice” Day on May 16, 2008

The Rape Crisis Center is asking your participation in “Jeans for Justice” in protest of sexual violence against women in our community. Read about the history of the event which has now gained much support in the United States.

The event is simple. Here is what you do:

  • 1. Announce the opportunity of wearing jeans to work on Friday, April 25th for a fee of $5.00 to $20.00.
  • Have employees sign up on the sheet .
  • On April 25th, as they arrive wearing jeans, have the funds collected by a designated staff person and give each one a Jeans For Justice sticker (call so we can deliver these to you).
  • Either call the Rape Crisis Center to arrange to have the funds picked up by a staff person, or, exchange the cash for a company check and mail it to the Rape Crisis Center at: P.O. Box 8492, Savannah, Ga. 31412.
  • 5. An extra benefit! You may also have a representative from the Rape Crisis Center give a presentation to employees concerning the prevention of sexual assault, giving very practical, relevant information. Call 233-3000 to schedule.

Thanks in advance for your participation!
