Volunteer Training
Do you want to help by answering the crisis line or responding to the hospital?
Click here to learn more about being a volunteer.
Contact us with any questions concerning Volunteering.

Volunteer training dates:
Volunteer training begins on Thursday Sept. 30th, 6:00PM - 9:00 PM and continues on Saturday October 2nd from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM; then Monday thru Thursday nights October 4th - 7th, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

If you are interested in volunteering to respond to the hospital when a victim reports a rape to the police OR answer the 24-hour crisis line. Please call 233-3000 or email us.

Volunteers must attend all sessions. Each session lays a foundation for the next day's training. Therefore it is imperative that you attend all sessions! Lunch will be provided for you each day of training.

We will conduct the classes at the Rape Crisis Center. But, we will go to the Candler Memorial Hospitals during our training to get a "hands on" feel for the SART (to be explained at the training) approach.

What's your next step? Call and set up an interview with our Volunteer Coordinator. You can reach our Volunteer Coordinator at 233-3000. We want to meet you prior to the training, in order to fill you in on what to expect, to get to know you a bit, and to find the location of our office.

We ask a lot of our volunteers because our work is so important. Thank you for agreeing to be a part of our efforts to envision a world free of violence.
